Claire Cantrell, Analyst

Claire Cantrell is an Analyst at BJH Advisors and holds a Master of Science in Geography from George Washington University. Claire’s coursework included technical courses on quantitative research methods such as GIS and remote sensing as well as qualitative research methods practiced within local communities.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, Claire taught Human Geography to hundreds of undergraduate students studying spatial relationships between human communities, cultures, economies and their interactions with the environment. For her master’s capstone, Claire researched the effects of border wall construction initiatives on communities in the Lower Rio Grande Valley and contributed to an open-source GIS database mapping the border wall.

Prior to joining BJH Advisors, Claire worked as a communications professional at the National Hispanic Medical Association. In this capacity, she worked as a liaison between federal and private public health organizations, medical professionals, and underserved community members to create strategic and impactful deliverables promoting national health equity initiatives.

Claire is a proficient Spanish-speaker and holds a certification in Geographic Information Systems from George Washington University.
