Governor Hochul Announces Transformational Projects for Amityville as Part of $10 Million Downtown Revitalization Initiative

In December 2022, Governor Kathy Hochul announced 11 transformational projects for the Village of Amityville as part of the $10 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative Award. The awards will enhance connectivity, walkability, transit access, and beautification. In addition, the awards will expand small businesses and housing opportunities to promote growth of the downtown as a transit-oriented center. BJH was a prime consultant for the State of New York and managed a multidisciplinary team that worked with the Village of Amityville to identify potential projects for Downtown Amityville.
