Supermarket Development Market & Economic Impact Analysis

BJH Advisors completed an economic impact and market analysis for the rehabilitation of a vacant historic building in the Bronx as part of its New Market Tax Credit application. The proposed tenant was a new full-service grocery store, providing increased access to fresh and healthy food to local residents, as well as quality full and part-time jobs and training opportunities. BJH modeled temporary and ongoing multiplier effects generated by the project. The team also examined supermarket concentration in the area, access to public transportation, foot traffic, and estimated annual sales as part of the feasibility study.
