Village of Lindenhurst Downtown Master Plan
In 2019 and early 2020, BJH supported Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) in creating a Downtown Master Plan for the Village of Lindenhurst (Lindenhurst). BJH undertook an existing conditions analysis that included demographic, labor, business, and real estate data, as well as a land use analysis on underutilized properties on Lindenhurst’s main commercial corridor. Participation in community workshops and working sessions with Village staff allowed the team to incorporate the feedback of Lindenhurst residents regarding the desire for more varied retail and additional housing into recommendations to the Village. BJH created a report that was integrated into the Downtown Master Plan, which will be used to aid in guiding Lindenhurst’s economic growth.
