BJH advised Family Services Network of New York, Hester Street Collaborative and the Grain Collective to create a Brownfield Opportunity Area (BOA) revitalization plan for Bushwick, Brooklyn. The plan is designed to incite economic and industrial business growth in Bushwick by reactivating vacate and under-utilized sites. BJH performed a demographic, socioeconomic and real estate trend analysis to understand existing conditions in the neighborhood. BJH also conducted a retail gap analysis to asses retail opportunities and market data. Finally, BJH identified key economic development programming to support local development opportunities for supportive housing and small businesses.
