Kevin Mackh, Intern Analyst

Kevin Mackh is a Graduate Intern with a diverse background in real estate development, commercial underwriting, urban planning, and data analysis. He is currently pursuing a Master of Urban Planning degree at NYU Wagner, specializing in transportation and infrastructure.

At NYU, Kevin has deepened his expertise by studying environmental infrastructure, land use planning, and completed research on Manhattan Bus corridors along with analysis on the impact of ferry expansion in NYC. He has a particular interest in placemaking and street design, and hopes to further develop his geospatial analytical skills to help understand the most pressing issues that face our cities today.

Prior to BJH, Kevin spent over 3 years in transaction management at Nuveen Green Capital, where he worked to deploy funds for sustainable real estate developments across the country. His work centered around underwriting, project management, and financial modeling, and exposed him to the realities of the development process. Outside of these core functions, he led the implementation of the firm’s climate risk framework, which quantified the adverse effects of a changing climate on real estate assets under management.

Kevin built his analytical foundation during his undergraduate studies at Butler University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Financial Risk Management—a degree that continues to inform his work at the intersection of infrastructure, climate, and urban development.
